LLA has built an impressive integrated ecosystem of web, mobile and desktop applications that form the architecture of the company’s ambitious customer experience engine. But keeping that engine running, updated and optimized requires an enormous volume of regression testing.
Prior to adopting Katalon’s comprehensive quality management platform, regression and API testing was a time-intensive challenge for LLA’s team of QA testers. Loganathan D., QA DevOps at LLA, says the company lacked a unified automation framework to appropriately manage this challenge.
“There was significant variation in how automation testing was done across teams,” he explains. “There were different automation frameworks for different types of testing, and only experts were able to run automations.”
Loganathan says this increased the difficulty of automation script maintenance. Different automation frameworks also prevented reusability, which impacted testing efficiency.
“Maintenance of automation scripts took huge effort, and there was a lack of reusability across teams,” he says.
