The Head of eCommerce is a data-driven individual, exceptionally knowledgeable about current and emerging channels and will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to manage all aspects of the eCommerce business. In addition to managing the strategy to drive new customers and sales, as well as operationalizing the end-to-end eCommerce processes, this person will bring digital marketing vision, strategy, and program execution experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee strategy, planning, implementation, and coordination across all B2B eCommerce initiatives to increase customer experience, sales, & market share.
  • Build and lead a high-performing matrixed team of internal resources and external partners to achieve strategic and tactical goals.
  • Coordinate operational reporting to evaluate the performance metrics, revenue, and costs of the eCommerce business.
  • Provide insight to and collaborate across the organization including Growth, Product, Marketing, Sales, Success, Legal, and Finance.
  • Recommend and implement initiatives that will drive traffic, conversion, customer retention, revenue, and profitability of the eCommerce platform.
  • Work with Marketing Campaign Managers to create a customer journey plan with metrics across all touchpoints, from acquisition to retention.
  • Partner with marketing on identifying buyer profiles, core use cases, and competitive trends.
  • Collaborate with the Sales organization to coordinate the transition of incoming self-service journeys over a sales-assisted motion when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with IT to evaluate, launch, and maintain digital commercial technologies and solutions to enable digital strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to optimize the online customer journey and enhance user experience.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve e-commerce performance.
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within ecommerce, preferably in the SaaS industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving ecommerce targets.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to lead and inspire teams.
  • A passion for technology and innovation in the software testing space.
