- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data from various sources, such as sales, marketing, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue optimization. This includes conducting data cleansing, data mining, and data modeling to extract meaningful information.
- Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain reporting frameworks and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and revenue metrics. Provide regular reports to stakeholders, such as sales managers and executives, to monitor revenue performance, identify areas for improvement, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Collaborate with finance and sales teams to develop revenue forecasts and budgets. Utilize historical data, market trends, and business insights to create accurate revenue projections. Monitor actual performance against forecasts, identify deviations, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Sales and Marketing Support: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to provide analytical support. Analyze sales pipelines, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and marketing campaigns to optimize revenue generation. Identify sales and marketing trends, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and provide actionable insights to improve performance.
- Customer Segmentation and Analysis: Conduct customer segmentation analysis to identify different customer groups based on behavior, needs, and characteristics. Evaluate customer lifetime value (CLTV), churn rates, and customer satisfaction metrics to develop strategies for customer retention, upselling, and cross-selling.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders across different departments, such as sales, marketing, finance, and product management, to gather requirements, share insights, and align revenue strategies. Present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Continuous Learning and Market Research: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to revenue optimization. Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and market dynamics that impact revenue growth. Apply insights gained from research to improve revenue strategies.
- 4+ years of sales/revenue analytics experience in a fast-paced technology sales environment (SaaS highly preferred)
- 1+ years of experience presenting your findings and recommendations to others
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets/ Excel) and working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with one or more BI tools
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Quick learner with the ability to solve problems independently or with little guidance
- Knowledge of SFDC or another CRM + willingness to learn the product
- Passionate about data management and the importance of data integrity
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and a track record of cross-functional partnership.
